Microfinance Bootcamp

Microfinance Bootcamp

Under the umbrella of the PMN’s Center of Excellence, PMN has been involved in arranging some trainings at local level and awarding scholarships to candidates for international Microfinance trainings such as Boulder and HBS-Accion, Frankfurt School for Finance and Management, and School of Applied Microfinance. However, due to a limited number of managers being sent for these trainings, many are left behind every year. Therefore, to provide an opportunity to mid-level and field managers in Pakistan, PMN has planned the first-ever Microfinance Bootcamp. The program aims to bring together a diverse group of professionals across Pakistan from Microfinance Banks and Non-Bank Microfinance companies, donors, regulators and investors under one roof a week to attend various sessions and immerse themselves in the peer-learning experience.  To make this Bootcamp a success PMN will be supported by its knowledge partner, FINMAN Group.

The Bootcamp will offer avenues to professionals to deeply reflect on various industry challenges while engaging in interactive discussion to learn from each other’s experience and come up with solutions to these problems and build a strong network of professional contacts. The key features of the Bootcamp will be:

  • Training sessions to further enhance management skills of the participants in the areas of digital finance, agriculture finance, risk management, product development, customer satisfaction and people’s management.
  • Power Talks with renowned industry leaders where participants will take part in discussion with them on emerging trends in the financial inclusion and microfinance space, learn about key institutional lessons learned and a variety of transformational leadership approaches.
  • Panel discussion where the participants will have the opportunity of attending an interactive session with industry leaders especially regulators had to enhance their knowledge on the regulatory frameworks around the world.
  • Team building exercises will also be part of the Bootcamp where practical exercises will equip manager to tackle team work issues and strengthen their abilities to confront conflicts within teams

This will be a first ever boot camp of Microfinance sector in the country in which professionals and sector specialists will be sharing their ideas, experiences and knowledge to get them ready for emerging issues.

The residential boot camp is organized from September 2-7, 2018 at the Pearl Continental Hotel Bhurban.
